Olly the Ox has found a new home at Capital Heath in Hopewell.

Olly is one of a herd of oxen coming to the area for Hopewell Valley Arts Council’s first program, The Stampede. Capital Health is a founding sponsor of the program; the organization donated $25,000 to the arts council.

Through the project, regional artists will decorate and embellish the oxen for display around the town.

An exhibition displaying the oxen designs is scheduled for Capital Health’s Roma Bank Art and Healing Gallery in April.

The Stampede will culminate next January with an “Oxtion,” where the completed works of art will be auctioned off to the public.
