Swim-a-Thon Raises More Than $1,000

Students from the High School South swim team held a swim-a-thon to raise money for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The student swimmers raised more than $1,000 to help the relief efforts in the Philippines. The money was donated to the American Red Cross and will be used to send food supplies, provide clean drinking water, and distribute items to help make shelters in the Philippines. The team’s head coach is Anthony Bartolone.
