Brentano String Quartet set to hold final concert in Princeton

The Brentano String Quartet

The Brentano String Quartet is set to present their final concert as Princeton University’s Edward T. Cone Performers-in-Residence on April 11 at 7:30 p.m.

After nearly 15 years at Princeton, the Brentano Quartet will head to the Yale School of Music in the fall of 2014 to take up their new post as quartet-in-residence. replacing the now retired Tokyo String Quartet.

Special guest Hsin-Yun Huang, viola, will join the Brentano for this concert.

The program will include Mozart’s String Quartet No. 21 in D Major, K. 575, Filipe Lara’s “Archi Elastici” for String Quintet and Mozart String Quintet in G Minor, K. 516.

The concert will be held at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall at 68 Nassau Street, Princeton.

The concert is free, but reservations are required. They can be made through the Frist Box Office at (609) 258-9220.
