Sourland Conservancy to premiere documentary

The Sourland Conservancy is set to premiere its new documentary film, The Sourlands – A New Jersey Treasure.

The conservancy made the 25-minute film to introduce viewers to the Sourlands, the largest contiguous forest between New York City and Philadelphia, and to spark a desire to protect this beautiful place for their own and future generations.

A panel discussion and question and answer session is set to follow the screening.

The premiere also features a live musical performance of original music composed for the documentary by musician Carol Heffler.

The premiere is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 18 at Off-Broadstreet Theatre, 5 South Greenwood Ave., Hopewell.

Tickets are $25 and include dessert, coffee and tea,.

Proceeds from the premiere are set to support the Conservancy’s work to Save the Sourlands.

The Sourland Conservancy’s mission is to protect the ecological integrity, historic resources and special character of the Sourland Mountain region.
