Changes to Mercer County’s curbside recycling collection schedule will take effect on July 1.

In Hamilton Township, the collection will happen every other Wednesday, beginning July 9.

Trenton will no longer have separate collection zones. Instead, the entire city will be collected every other Wednesday beginning July 2.

In West Windsor, the collection will happen every other Thursday beginning July 3.

All participating towns will have their holiday makeup day switched from Sunday to Saturday, meaning that if a resident’s collection day falls on a holiday, collection will be the following Saturday.

Residents can also download the My Waste App, which can be used to set reminders for collection day.

Old collection days will be honored for the first couple of weeks. When residents place their buckets at the curb on the old collection day, residents will receive a flyer advising them of the change.
