VOICES, a choral group, is seeking singers for its next concert season.
The group is seeking altos and basses, but singers in all voice parts are encouraged to audition. A few openings in Sotto Voce, the chamber chorus, are also available.
Rehearsals for new concert season are scheduled to begin 7:30-9:45 p.m. September 15 at Music Together in Hopewell.
The season includes three major concerts; Christmastide scheduled for Dec. 20 and 21, Irish Heartsong scheduled for March 14 and 15, and Mozart’s sublime Requiem scheduled for May.
Christmastide features selections from Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, various carol arrangements, and three choruses from Handel’s Messiah. Irish Heartsong’s program includes popular Irish tunes and classic Irish choruses performed along with a fiddler.
Auditions are scheduled for 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Aug. 18 and 5:30-6:45 p.m. Sept. 15 at Music Together, 225 Pennington-Hopewell Road, Hopewell. Other times are available by appointment.
