Trenton musician SiriOm Singh is set to perform at Small World Coffee Oct. 12.

The concert coincides with Singh’s current campaign to raise funds to produce the new album, HOBO. This will be the fifth time he performs at the coffee shop.

Singh plans to play music from HOBO, as well as from his previous albums, Travel the Light and Guru Dev.

“HOBO brings a message of what can be possible in people’s lives – hope, peace, harmony, being rooted in spirit and enjoying the pleasures of life. I hope that the Princeton community will enjoy the performance and will also want to participate in making this CD a reality,” Singh said in a statement.

Bassist Samuel Haines on bass, Guitarist Spencer and percussionist Todd Zieseniss are set to accompany Singh. The musicians are featured on his new album.

Like his other albums, HOBO has a strong spiritual focus and it carries a social message. Besides the combination of mantras, poetry and sacred texts, it includes many of Singh’s singer/songwriter pieces. The music ranges from blues to reggae, soul to country and classical Indian.

SiriOm’s first music CD Travel The Light was released in 2006, his second album, Guru Dev, was released in 2009. His single, Gifts of the Rishis, was released in 2011.

The concert is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at Small World Coffee, 14 Witherspoon St., Princeton.
