Members of Yarnworks, an Ewing-based knitting and crocheting group, made hats, mittens, and blankets for the Mercer Street Friends Pre-School.

Together with an assortment of blankets and hats made by ECHO, a social and recreational organization for older adults, the group donated a total of 27 hats, five pairs of mittens and seven blankets.

Ewing resident Lee Pellegrino formed Yarnworks in 2011. The group welcomes both beginners and experienced knitters and crocheters. They meet several times a month at the Ewing Branch of the Mercer County Library System.
