County to host Veteran’s Day ceremony

Mercer County Veteran’s Services is set to host a Veteran’s Day ceremony in conjunction with the Mercer County Veterans Council.

The event is scheduled for 12 p.m. Nov. 10 at Catholic War Veterans Post 417, 301 Grand St., Trenton.

Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes is set to join other county and local officials to give recognition and appreciation to county residents who have served in America’s armed forces.

Hughes will give brief remarks at the ceremony and remarks by retired U.S. Army Gen. Frank Carlini will follow.

This year’s program will also include the laying of a wreath to honor veterans’ service, a salute to fallen veterans by American Legion Post 31 and the playing of taps by Walter Kramarz of the Mercer County Veterans Council.
