Lush Hair Studio is set to host a fundraiser for a local child with Cerebral Palsy Jan. 26.

Salon owner Nicole Langione said proceeds from the event will benefit the Marc Anthony Wheelchair Van Fund.

The fund benefits Marc Weisneck, a five-year-old who suffers from brain bleeding, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Chronic Lung Disease and visual impairments. Weisneck uses a wheelchair.

Langione said Weisneck’s sole provider is his mother Darlene Weisneck, who cannot afford a wheelchair adapted van to transport her son in.

“Through our fundraiser, our salon and the community can come together and raise funds for this hardworking mother. Handicapped-accessible vans are very expensive and with these funds she can provide safe transportation for Marc—to therapy, doctors’ appointments and school,” Langione said.

Langione said the event will feature massages, door prizes, vendors and food. There will be silent auction with items such as vacation gift cards, salon treatments and a photoshoot with a professional photographer.

The fundraiser is set for Lush Hair Studio, 2222 Route 33, Hamilton at 5 p.m.
