The College of New Jersey Contemporary Music Ensemble to perform April 2

A free performance of works by New Jersey bases composers is scheduled for 8 p.m April 2. at The College of New Jersey’s Mildred and Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall.

TCNJ’s Contemporary Music Ensemble will perform compositions from 2000 to the present.

Works to be played are by TCNJ composers Robert Young McMahan, Teresa Marrin Nakra, Carlton Wilkinson, and visiting faculty member Benjamin C. S. Boyle, also on the faculty of Westminster Choir College.

Additionally, the ensemble will play German composer Lukas Foss’ Curriculum Vitae with Time Bomb, for accordion and percussion.

This concert features pianist Joanna Chao, guitarist James Day, classical accordionist Robert McMahan, violinist Teresa Nakra and percussionist William Trigg.

Guest artists are soprano Justine Aronson and saxophonist Paul Cohen.

This concert is presented by TCNJ’s Center for the Arts.

Mildred and Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall is located at 2000 Pennington Road, Ewing.
