The Youth Choir of The Church of Saint Ann is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a gala concert and reception on May 5.

The concert is scheduled to begin 3:30 p.m. at The Church of Saint Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville.

Choir members will perform a retrospective of music sung throughout its 25 year history and demonstrate the group’s progression from singing in unison to the four-part harmonies it uses today.

The concert program also features Hallelujah Day, an original composition by Jean and David Perry commissioned for the occasion by an anonymous donor. The Perry’s wrote the piece to showcase the choir’s commitment to music and its use as a celebration of faith.

The Youth Choir was established by Monseigneur Thomas Frain under the direction of Jean DiMarco, who continues to lead the choir today.

In the past 25 years, more than 1000 children have been members of the choir. All of the alumni have been invited back for the anniversary concert.
