Plainsboro Township’s 34th annual Founders Day celebration will be Sunday, May 5. The free community celebration commemorates the incorporation of the township on May 6, 1919.

Activities begin with a parade at 12:30 p.m. The parade follows Edgemere Avenue (beginning near Waters Edge Park), turns right onto Plainsboro Road, and continues on to the Municipal Complex at 641 Plainsboro Road. Opening ceremonies begin once the parade arrives at the festival grounds.

There will be live entertainment, music, dance, magic, cultural programs, demonstrations, exhibits, games, clowns, jugglers, antique cars, and local history. All activities are free; food is available for purchase.

Founders Day parking will be available at Enterprise Drive across the street from the municipal center. There will be no public parking at the municipal building. Police will be directing traffic, and road closings and detours will be in effect in the vicinity of the municipal center until 5:15 p.m.
