Robbinsville based film selected for Hoboken International Film Festival

Acceptance, a short film written and directed by Robbinsville residents, is set to be screened at the Hoboken International Film Festival in June.

Out of 1,500 entries, Acceptance is one of about 90 films that were selected for the festival.

Director Gene Gallagher shot the film about a mother who learns he 9-year-old son has Asperger’s Syndrome in Robbinsville.

The cast includes fellow residents Laura Shapanus and Tyler DiNinno.

The film is scheduled to be screened 2 p.m. June 5 at the Paramount Theater in Middletown, N.Y.

Tickets to the screening are $11

During the film festival, a jury of Academy and Emmy award winners choose films in 10 categories to win cash prizes. The festival is scheduled for May 31 through June 6 at the Paramount Theatre.
