Local chefs to prepare farm to table dinner

Terhune Orchards is set to host Sustainable Fare for Sustainable Jersey, a fundraiser, July 25.

The fundraiser for Sustainable New Jersey features a seven-course dinner and live music.

Local chefs and farms are set to celebrate the Farm to Table movement and promote awareness about sustainability efforts.

The meal with wine pairings is scheduled to being it cocktails at 5 p.m.

Dinner is set to be serves along side live music from the Riverside Band in the new Terhune Barn.

Featured chefs include Christopher Albrecht of Eno Terra, Scott Anderson of Elements and Mistral, Aaron Philipson of Blue Bottle Café, Jonathan Benno of Lincoln Restaurant, Josh Thomsen of Agricola, Chritine Merker of Meals For Reals and Gabby Carbone of The Bent Spoon.

Tickets are $150 per person; $100 of the ticket is tax deductible.

Sustainable Jersey is a non-profit that runs a certification program that aims to empower towns to build a better world for present and future generations. The program provides a road-map towns can follow to initiate and promote sustainable actions that improve the quality of life.
