Graffiti artists are set to cover the walls of TerraCycle’s Trenton offices on Aug. 11.

More than 100 artists are set to participate in the eighth annual Graffiti Jam, which also features performances by local bands DJs and hip hop artists. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at TerraCycle headquarters, 121 New York Ave., Trenton.

Trenton’s Vicious Styles Crew and other urban artists will attempt to completely repaint Terracycle’s walls with new artwork.

The purpose of the event is to offer urban artists an outlet to showcase their artistic skills in a positive, legal light rather than as vandalism.

Now in 23 countries, TerraCycle is committed to keeping its headquarters Trenton. The company employs Trenton area residents in its effort to reinvest in local communities and is a member of the Urban Enterprise Zone -a state led program to bring more businesses into the inner city.

TerraCycle, Inc. is an upcycling and recycling company that takes difficult-to recycle-packaging and turns it into affordable, innovative products.
