The Dec. 1 Arts Council of Princeton’s Indie Music Night Holiday Show is set to feature local singer-songwriter Sarah Donner in concert with guest artists Kagero and Artstar for an evening of folk, alternative pop, gypsy rock and holiday music to start the season off right.

Kagero’s sound has been described as a melting pot of tonalities and rhythms from Asia, the Middle East, South America and Eastern Europe. ion”

Artstar is otherwise known as Shaun Ellis and Kate Okeson, art school friends and colleagues over almost 20 years. Artstar wrote and recorded from the late 90s through early 2000s.

Recently, Ellis has been playing mandolin with High Hearts, an urban folk quartet split between Lambertville and Philadelphia, while Okeson, a Red Bank resident, has been practicing and teaching studio art.

The 7 p.m. concert is scheduled to take place at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon St., in Princeton. A $5 donation is suggested. On the Web: artscouncilofprinceton.org.
