During Sandy, Two Ports in the Storm

Thank you to two West Windsor businesses that were truly “ports in the storm” during hurricane Sandy. Capuano Ristorante, great on any day, was able to operate in the storm’s aftermath. Not only were they up to the job of feeding the large influx of neighbors without power, but we witnessed employees scooping bags of ice for customers to take home. They were also helpful in allowing customers to recharge electronics. Thanks to the managers and staff, Capuano’s was a true oasis in a very dreary time.

The West Windsor community also owes a debt of thanks to McCaffrey’s Supermarket for having had the foresight to install a generator. As usual, McCaffrey’s was ready to serve its customers and stepped-up to help its neighbors. McCaffrey’s has always generously supported the community and we thank them for being there, yet, again. We are very fortunate to have these excellent businesses as part of our community.
