Residents who were surprised by the sudden closure of Charlie Brown’s on Route 1 in 2007 will be happy to know that a new restaurant opened this week in the same space at the Clarion Palmer Inn. BT Bistro features food creations by chef Bobby Trigg, operator of the Ferry House in downtown Princeton and co-owner of the Peacock Inn, also in Princeton. A reception was held for Trigg, his partner, Barry Sussman, and Tushar Patel, Clarion Palmer Inn’s owner, on Sunday, April 26. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, April 30.##M:[more]##

BT Bistro opened for dinner on Thursday, April 30, and will open for lunch beginning Monday, May 4. Lunch entrees ranging from $8 to $16 include grilled salmon salad, barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, grilled angus burgers, roast chicken breast with mushroom ratatouille, and grilled peppercorn crusted New York steak. Dinner entries ranging from $18 to $32 include roast duck leg, sauteed flounder with little neck clams, pesto crusted salmon, and grilled shrimp with fettucine.

The two happy hours every evening, from 4 to 6 p.m., and 9 to 11 p.m., feature half price appetizers and drink specials. The bar and evening light menu has more than 19 items ranging from $5 to $24.

The restaurant is located at 3499 Route 1 South. Call 609-919-9403 for reservations and information about catering private parties.
