WW-P Community Middle School sixth graders Alisha Kanitkar and Shruti Marathe won the National History Day New Jersey State Championship on May 2 in the grades 6 to 8 group exhibit category. This year’s contest theme was “The Individual in History: Actions and Legacies.”##M:[more]##

Their winning exhibit, “Raoul Wallenberg: The Grave Savior,” highlighted Wallenberg’s heroism in saving 100,”000 Jews during the Holocaust, while sacrificing his own life. Their PRISM teacher and advisor is Karen Rosnick.
