Millstone River School’s fifth grade teachers Sven Strnad and Vickie Gurzau led their students in a benefit for Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. While learning about science and gardening, the students grew Ramapo tomatoes (native to New Jersey) and raised more than $200 selling them.##M:[more]##

Their letters, explaining how they felt about performing community service, and a token tomato plant, were presented to Melisa Rivera, a representative from Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
