Construction on George Davison Road is expected to last into the third week of September as the road is milled, curbed, and paved.

The project began on August 18 and is expected to take four weeks to complete. Residents and commuters will continue experiencing delays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including alternating lanes of travel, through the length of the project.

The Plainsboro Township Committee awarded a $867,432 contract to Lucas Bros. Inc. of Morganville in July. The bid from Lucas Bros. came in about $232,000 less than township officials anticipated.

The project entails reconstruction of a large stretch of George Davison Road, from Cranbury Neck to Plainsboro roads, to replace the worn pavement.
