Contracts for WW-P Schools Superintendent Victoria Kniewel and Larry Shanok, the assistant superintendent for finance, are up for approval on Tuesday, September 29, and they include raises for both administrators.

The school board held a public hearing on the revised contract terms and conditions on September 15. If the contracts are approved, Kniewel’s salary will increase by 3.5 percent — from $186,150 last year to $192,676 for this year. Shanok’s salary will increase to $165,854, up from $160,245 last year.

The salary for these positions changes every year, usually on July 1. But, state regulations require school boards to hold the hearing every year.

The contract with Superintendent Victoria Kniewel was signed in 2007 and is in place through 2011. The board agreed to review Kniewel’s salary at the conclusion of each school year.
