Jake Fine, 10, of West Windsor led the top fund raising team at the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes at Cook College. He was captain and inspiration for Team Brotherly Love of West Windsor. Jake, who has type 1 diabetes, also received the award for top fundraising individual, raising $16,”000. His team members include his parents Debi and Rick, and his brother Daniel.

Lisa Sher, 13, received a gold medal for fundraising. She is the captain and inspiration for Team Lisa’s Lotsa Laughs. She also has type 1 diabetes and her team has raised more than $32,”000 in the six years they have been walking. Team members include her parents, Donna and Phil; her brother Jason; Sari Frankel, and Larissa Leelum.
