Vijay Narayan, a student at Grover Middle School, qualified to be the New Jersey representative entry at the National History Day Competition held at the University of Maryland on June 10. His paper, “Britain triumphs over Hitler: Out of the Wilderness, Churchill as Statesman Shows the Way” received the gold medal in the category Best Junior Historical Paper at the State Level competition. His teacher is Joan Ruddiman, PRISM teacher at Grover.

Community Middle School received a top award for Junior Group Performance with “Locked Doors, Tragic Scores.” Students included Varnika Atmakuri, Ananya Yalamanchi, and Aneesha Raghunathan. Their teacher is Karen Rosnick.
