Sonal Kumar, president of the French Club at High School North, was awarded the Outstanding Senior in French award and a gold medal by American Association of Teachers in French. Under her leadership the groups gained official club status for La Francophonie.##M:[more]##
Kumar was also editor-in-chief of Segasse et Rebellion, a first-year literary anthology of poems and short shorties and various creative writing pieces, and a member of the French Honor Society. She competed twice in the National French Contest, Le Grand Concours, and ranked in the Top 15 at the French Honor Society induction.
