Golden Anniversary

Betty and James Souders of West Windsor recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Married May 18, 1957, at Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church, they renewed their vows at Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church on June 3. Three people from their wedding party, as well as a few aunts and uncles, were at the event. Reverend Floyd Churn officiated.##M:[more]##

Their daughter, Susan McIntyre, WW-P High School, Class of 1983, lives in Yardville with her husband, Walter, and two children. Their son David, WW-P High School, Class of 1985, lives in Anchorage, Alaska, with his wife, Mary, and their four daughters.

Their granddaughter, Amanda McIntyre, read a poem written by her father, and their grandson, Ben McIntyre, did a scripture reading with his mother. Granddaughters Emma, Hanna, Lauren, and Sarah Souders presented music on the cello, piano, clarinet, and flute.

Both retired from the Princeton University Press, the Souders are members of the Historical Society of West Windsor. Residents of West Windsor for 50 years, they celebrated with a Caribbean cruise.
