Music and Art

Adam Natoli, a junior at High School North, has fashioned an unvarnished violin into a work of art included in “Artstrings,” an exhibit touring the state for the next few months. His art teacher, Jane Craven, recommended him for the project but he wanted to compare the diversity of the school with the universal language of music.

Classmates helped him find the word music in close to 12 languages and the words are now part of the artwork. The program is a fundraiser for New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Natoli is also a goalie on the North hockey team.
