Some of West Windsor’s most dangerous roadways may be improved as a result of a proposed ordinance to fund upgrades. The Township council introduced an ordinance on July 31 that would provide for funding of the project. The Township last year released results of a traffic study that identified the 15 most dangerous spots on township streets, many of which are along Alexander Road.

Improvements will likely not begin until spring of summer 2007. Also included in the ordinances is a $400,”000 allocation for Duck Pond Park, a project which has gone through the first phase of development.

The next phases of developing the park, located on Meadow Road, will be to develop the park with irrigated and illuminated ball fields, comfort stations, jogging/walking, and biking trails, and possibly an amphitheater.

The ordinances also includes funds for improvements to Grover’s Farm’s public land maintenance, and remediation of its underground storage tank.
