If you think that spaghetti is a finger food, write your grocery list in crayon, and say bye-bye to everyone, you are probably a mother of a preschooler. A newly-chartered MOPS (Mothersof Preschoolers) group meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro to provide an antidote for the isolation and loneliness that can accompany motherhood. MOPS is for all mothers with children from birth through kindergarten. Meetings are free and childcare is available for $5.

Each meeting focuses on a topic with room for discussion. The fall schedule follows:

“Potty Training 101” presented by Princeton Healthcare staff. Monday, September 25, 9 to 11 a.m.

“Pediatric CPR and First Aid” presented by Princeton Healthcare staff. Monday, October 9, 9 to 11 a.m.

“Sibling Rivalry: Roots, Causes, and Answers” presented by Jaimie Bruce. Monday, October 23, 9 to 11 a.m.

“Feeding the Picky Eater” presented by Sue Larson. Monday, November 13, 9 to 11 a.m.

“Putting Christ Back in Christmas” presented by Jan Luley. Monday, November 27, 9 to 11 a.m.

Mothers of Preschoolers, MOPS, Princeton Alliance Church, 20 Schalks Crossing Road, Plainsboro, 609-799-9000, ext. 15. www.mops.org. 9 to 11 a.m.
