WW Activitst Dies

Jeanette R. Flickinger, 70, a long time resident of West Windsor, died September 5 at her home in Woodstock, Georgia. Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, she moved to West Windsor in 1964 and retired to Woodstock in 2002.##M:[more]##

In West Windsor she served as president of the PTA, was a member of the West Windsor Zoning Board, was an active member of the West Windsor Historical Society, and was the Republican Committeewoman from District 7 for many years.

Always active in political campaigns from the local level right up to the national level, she attended both of Ronald Reagan’s Presidential inaugurations in Washington, D.C.

She also helped to spearhead the change in the form of government in West Windsor to its current mayor-council system and served as assistant to the first elected mayor of West Windsor, Thomas Frascella.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; her son, Robert, of Woodstock; and two brothers, Robert Halle of Wareham, Massachusetts, and David Halle of Brockton, Massachusetts.
