Save the Date: West Windsor Bike Fest

West Windsor Township is sponsoring its first annual Bike Fest on Saturday, May 29, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. giving individuals and families the opportunity to see the town by bike, and meet people with similar interests.

A range of bike rides is planned so that people of all levels will be able to join in the fun. A one-mile family ride within Community Park will be the cornerstone of the event, with eight and 18-mile routes offered to more advanced cyclists. All routes will be marked, participants will be given cue sheets or maps, and food and water stops will be set up along the way.

In addition, a Bike Safety Rodeo, sponsored by Dutch Neck School, will be offered before the family ride to ensure that all children — and adults — know the proper safety signals and are wearing the appropriate safety gear. Helmets will be available for sale, and all participants must wear an approved helmet while riding.

Registration is required and will include a T-shirt, refreshments and lunch. Visit www.wwparks-recreation.com/bikefest.html. The rain date is Sunday, May 30.
