The most important special interest

I wish to thank everyone who supported me in my run for a seat on the WW-P Board of Education. So many of you went door to door to spread my message, wrote letters on my behalf, donated money, and encouraged me to stay positive. And, so many of you voted for me.

Although I was not elected, I hope that my campaign will result in transparency, open dialogue and respect for students, parents and teachers.

I hope that in the near future a teacher who knows and understands what goes on in the classrooms and has experience as an educator, will sit on the board and speak out for students and teachers.

I look forward to the school board, the administrators and the community working together to make WW-P the best district, meeting the needs of all of our children.

Lastly, I hope that in the future, school board campaigns will be about the issues and the students and that everyone will understand that we all have only one “special interest” — our children.
