Hundreds of young artists and performers from Mercer County will gather for the annual Mercer County Teen Arts Festival on May 2, 2025.
The event, held at Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus, offers high school and middle school students a full day of arts immersion.
The festival, which runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., provides students from public, private, parochial, and independent schools the opportunity to participate in a wide range of workshops, master classes, and hands-on activities.
The workshops, led by faculty members from Mercer County Community College, cover various disciplines including visual art, media, dance, drama, music, film and creative writing.
“For many students across Mercer, the Teen Arts Festival is one of the highlights of the year,” said Mercer County Executive Dan Benson. “We’re excited to offer another opportunity for students to come together to learn, hone their talents, and grow as artists.”
In addition to workshops, the festival features critique sessions where students receive feedback on their work and performances from experts in their respective fields.
These critiques are aimed at helping students improve their skills and explore future academic and career opportunities. Select students will also have a chance to present their work at the State Teen Arts Festival, which will take place June 3-5 at Middlesex College.
The festival is organized by the Mercer County Division of Culture and Heritage and is coordinated by Tim Hoh, who is returning for his third year as Teen Arts Coordinator.
Students interested in participating are encouraged to contact their school’s administration or arts teachers. Those whose schools are not participating can register individually online with parental permission.
