The Cranbury-Plainsboro Little League has opened registration for girls and boys in T-ball, softball and baseball ages 3 and a half to 12.

Registration is on-line at cpll.org, along with all the details for the upcoming season.

Baseball divisions are $125 for the season, softball is $150 and T-ball is $25 again this year. Families with multiple children playing will receive a discount.

The season begins in late March and lasts through mid-June.

Check the cpll.org website periodically for more updates, including the organization’s indoor February clinics and opportunities to help coach.

For additional information check out the FAQ section or email info@cpll.org. Registration closes on Feb. 28.

CPLL is also alerting players and parents that Little League International will adopt new bat standards beginning on Jan. 1, 2018 for the baseball and T-ball divisions, which means this upcoming 2017 season will be the last season for all current youth bats.

Bats that will be used next year are required to have the USA Baseball approval on them, and will start to arrive in stores in late Summer 2017.

Any current youth baseball bat (at home, in the league’s inventory or at stores, can only be used for this season.
