Lecture on Mozart set for Jan. 16

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra is set to host a lecture on Mozart at the Princeton Public Library Jan. 16.

Princeton University music professor and opera specialist Wendy Heller is scheduled to give a lecture titled “The Two Worlds of Mozart” at 7 p.m.

Heller is plans to compare Mozart as an opera composer and a symphonist.

PSO is set to perform Mozart’s Prague Symphony and the Overture and Act II from The Marriage of Figaro Jan. 27

PSO said admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

The lecture is part of PSO’s Soundtracks series. PSO said the series offers “insights about what goes into orchestrating a concert by a professional symphony.”
