Terhune Orchard’s Blueberry Bash set for July 5, 6

Terhune Orchards is set to celebrate New Jersey’s official state fruit with the annual Blueberry Bash July 5 and 6.

Along with games, live music and tractor-drawn wagon rides, the festival features the juried Blueberry Bash Bake-Off.

Bake-off entries and completed forms must be submitted by 12 p.m. July 6. Terhune Orchards owner Pam Mount and Trenton Times food columnist Susan Sprague Yeske are set to judge the entries 1 p.m. . The winners will receive Terhune Orchards gift cards. Contest rules are available at the farm store and online.

The orchard’s pick-your-own-blueberry patch will be open.

Tuckers’ Tales Puppet Theatre is scheduled to present the puppet show “It’s the Wolf” 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on both days.

Magnolia Street Swing Band is set to perform 12 to 4 p.m. July 5 and Swinging Dixie from 12 to 4 p.m. July 6.

Pam’s Blueberry Buffet food tent includes hot dogs, BBQ chicken, salads, apple cider donuts, cider slush and blueberry, like pies, muffins, and breads for purchase.

The festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Road, Lawrenceville.

Blueberry Bash admission is $5; children under three are free.
