Pumpkin carver to visit Terhune Orchards

Tom Cook, a Ewing resident and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, is scheduled to showcase his pumpkin carving skills at Terhune Orchards on Saturday, Oct.11 and Sunday, Oct. 12.

Terhune Orchards’ pumpkin patch is open daily to the public. Fall festival events, including pumpkin painting, apple picking, wagon and pony rides, “The Four Seasons at Terhune Orchards” adventure barn, face painting and cornstalk and haybale mazes are planned to run every weekend through Nov. 2.

The farm will also host performances by local country and blugrass bands every Saturday and Sunday between noon and 4 p.m. The Jersey Corn Pickers are scheduled to perform Sat., Oct. 11 and Thomas Wesley Sterm is scheduled to perform Sun., Oct. 12.

Admission to the festival area is $5 and free to children under the age of three. There is no admission fee to the farm store, winery tasting room or Van Kirk pick-your-own. Parking is free.
