There will also be a chance to win prizes, including hourly visits to the money machine between 1 and 4 p.m. and free dog or cat food for a year. Other family-friendly activities include free face painting, balloons, pretzels and soda.

Adoptable pets and animal rescue organizations will be part of the celebration, with a special ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 p.m., accompanied by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), local and state representatives and special guests. With the partnership of the HSUS and numerous shelters, Pets Plus Natural serves as a rescue center offering dogs, cats, puppies and kittens for adoption, and is open seven days a week during the store’s normal business hours.
