Lawrence man wins first place in 2018 NJ State Senior Citizen Art Show

Lawrence Township resident John S. Rounds, 64, was awarded first place in the craft category for his piece “New Jersey – County Map No. 4” in the 2018 NJ State Senior Citizen Art Show.

The show, comprised of over 300 entries, runs through Oct. 26 at Meadow Lakes on Etra Road in East Windsor. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Admission is free.The map of New Jersey by Rounds was created using re-purposed license plates. Each county is cut out to scale and labeled with its initial.This piece also best-in-show in the non-professional division of the 2018 Mercer County Senior Art Show before taking the statewide honor.More of Rounds’ work can be seen at
