Just Peachy Festival set for August

Terhune Orchards is set celebrate their summer harvest during the Just Peachy Festival in August.

The festival features fresh peach creations, along with live music, a canning class and wagon rides. Just Peachy Festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 2 and 3 at Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Road, Lawrence.

Live country music is scheduled for 12 to 4 p.m. each day. The Barn Cats are set to playing on Saturday and Past Times is set to perform on Sunday.

During the festival, families can take a tractor drawn wagon ride through the orchards and children can visit our barnyard animals.

Another festival highlight is the Summer Harvest Tasting. Chefs from all over New Jersey and beyond who are known for delicious menus using high quality local ingredients are set to demonstrate their peach and seasonal recipes and offer samples of their foods.

In addition, guests can purchase seasonal dishes at the Everything Peach food tent. The menu includes peach muffins, pies, ice cream and tea, along with fresh barbecue chicken, homemade salads, hot dogs, cider donuts and apple cider. The farm store offers more peach products like peach cobblers, peach salsa and nectarine salsa.

Pam Mount’s free canning class is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 2.
