Top senior golfers from across New Jersey will compete for the 36th New Jersey PGA/New Jersey Golf Senior Open Championship this month at Cobblestone Creek Country Club.

The 36-hole stroke-play event in Lawrence Township brings together leading professional and amateur golfers age 50 and older.

Defending champion Gregg Angelillo, an amateur who won last year’s title at Forsgate Country Club, is expected to return to defend the Emery Thomas Championship Trophy.

The field will play 18 holes on Tuesday, May 27. Afterward, only the low 40 scorers and those tied for 40th will advance to the final round on Wednesday, May 28.

This marks the first time the N.J. Senior Open will be held at Cobblestone Creek, a course designed by Bobby Weed and known for its walkability, pristine conditions and top-tier amenities.

The Lawrenceville club has hosted several NJPGA and New Jersey Golf events in the past.

The tournament’s list of past champions includes notable names such as former PGA Champion Jim McGovern and former New Jersey Open winners Frank Esposito, Mark McCormick, Russell Helwig, Christopher Dachisen, Jack Kiefer, Gary Ostrega and Greg Farrow.

Fans can follow the championship online with live scoring, photos and coverage at NJGOLF.org, as well as on NJPGA and New Jersey Golf’s social media platforms on Instagram, Facebook and X.
