Apple season begins at Terhune Orchards

Terhune Orchards is set to offer pick-your-own apples beginning Aug. 30.

Apple picking is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31 at the Van Kirk Road Orchard. Visitors can pick jonamac apples, the first if a dozen varieties to be ripe at the orchard.

Sept. 1 through 5 Terhune is set to offer pick-your-own gala apples at its Cold Soil Road location.

Then starting Sept. 6, pick-your-own apples will be offered daily at the Van Kirk orchard for the fall season. Terhune has a dozen varieties of apples throughout the season. Wagon rides through the orchard will be available on weekends.

Terhune’s Apple Day festival is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 and 14 at Cold Soil Road.

Terhune Orchards is located at 330 Cold Soil Road in Lawrenceville.
