Recycling day set for Feb. 2

The Hopewell Valley Green Team is set to host a recycling event Feb. 2.

The Green Team said they will be collecting Styrofoam, CDs, DVDs, and wine bottle corks from 12 to 3 p.m.

The collection is set for the Hopewell Township Public Works building, 203 Washington Crossing–Pennington Road.

The Green Team said recycled Styrofoam blocks, sheets and coolers will be taken to RayBob Packaging in Bristol, Pa. Styrofoam food containers will not be collected.

The green team said packing peanuts will be accepted if in a separate bag. They encourage residents to return packing peanuts to shipping stores.

Recycled CDs & DVDs are set to be given to Back Thru the Future Technology Disposal in Franklin.

The Green Team said wine corks made of real cork will be sent to a cork tile manufacturer in Fredericktown, Mo.

A snow date is set for Feb. 9.
