Pennington School graduates 112 seniors from 12 countries

In its 177th Commencement Exercises, held June 2 for the Class of 2018, The Pennington School graduated 112 seniors from 12 countries. Matthew G. Paragamian of Yardley, Pennsylvania and Nicholas G. Micheletti of Milford were valedictorian and salutatorian.

Local graduates include Finn G. McConaughy, Kayla R. McInerney, and Judith Rose Sprague of Hopewell and Caroline S. Bouton, Johanna C. Bradshaw, Sydney D. Faber, Cole T. Felsher, Victoria S. Gassmann, Kathleen C. Horsley, Grace A. Kavulich, Steven J. Kopits, Mitchell T. Phillips, Carly L. Rice and Sonia van Stekelenborg of Pennington.

Seniors Caroline Bouton of Pennington and Feven Negussie of Orange shared the Headmaster’s Award to the Best All-Around Student with Paragamian. Bouton also received the Headmaster’s Prize for Leadership.

Horsley received the Charles G. Bennett ’59 Memorial Award for School Spirit, and Faber earned the M. James Coyle Award, recognizing a senior who has fostered community understanding of the strengths associated with learning differences. Faber was one of eight graduates were recognized with the Gateway Prize to the seniors who best exemplify Pennington’s core values of honor, virtue, and humility.
