Hopewell Valley Central High School theatre department is set to present the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, A Chorus Line.

A Chorus Line is about a chorus audition for a Broadway musical. It tells of the achingly poignant ambitions of professional Broadway gypsies to land a job in the show, and is a powerful metaphor for all human aspiration. The show features popular Broadway standards, What I Did for Love, and One (Singular Sensation).

Due to adult subject matter, this show is recommended for mature audiences only.

Hopewell Valley’s newest theatre arts teacher, John Zisa is directing the show. Zisa appeared on American Idol in 2005, where he advanced to the Hollywood round. He sang himself into the top 20 male singers before exiting the show.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 1, 7 and 8 at the Hopewell Valley Performing Arts Center, 259 Pennington Titusville Road, Pennington.

Tickets can be reserved in advance at showtix4u.com, and also available at the box office on performance evenings.
