Hopewell Harvest Fair to return for 27th year

The 27th Annual Hopewell Harvest Fair is set to return Sept. 28.

The fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hopewell Elementary School, 35 Princeton Ave., Hopewell. A rain date is scheduled for Sept. 29.

The fair features kids activities, such as pony and wagon rides, a petting zoo, games, inflatables, crafts, games and face painting.

Attendees can compete in several contests including Kids’ art, pumpkin painting, photography, doggie dress-up and a bake-off.

Hopewell Valley Central High School Marching Band, kids’ performers, local bands and choruses are scheduled to perform.

The fair includes old-fashioned country fun like homegrown vegetable displays and a straw maze.

Participants can search for Freddy and his friends in a live scavenger hunt.

Food vendors and a farmers’ market will be on site.

The fair features business Business Alley, where visitors can learn more about local businesses, and Green Land, dedicated to sustainability initiatives.

The Hopewell Harvest Fair also serves as a fundraiser for a community grant program that provides support for nonprofit organizations doing important work in the community. A percentage of all proceeds from the fair are set to benefit the program. Since its inception, more than $200,000 has been distributed to deserving local groups.
