Celebrate Washington’s Birthday Feb. 17

Johnson Ferry House is set to host Washington’s Birthday Celebration Feb. 17.

The celebration is set for 1 to 4 p.m. at Washington Crossing State Park, 355 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville.

Johnson Ferry House said each room of its historic house will have a different activity. Harpist Robin Fickle is set to play 18th century music in the parlor. Food Historian Susan McLellan Plaisted is set to prepare gingerbread in the kitchen.

Johnson Ferry House said visitors can write with quill pens, play with colonial toys and watch wool spinning, among other activities planned for the celebration.

Johnson Ferry House said “General Washington” will visit after 3 p.m.

Johnson Ferry House said admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
