Hamilton A’s win Mother’s Day tournament

The Hamilton A’s U12 baseball team won the Diamond Nation Mother’s Day Classic May 11.

The A’s defeated all five opponents and out scored them 43-6.

Pitcher Tyler Lehmann had a no-hitter in the semi-final game against the West Morris Cubs.

In the 2-1 Championship game, McGwire Tuffy pitched a complete game earning MVP honors with defense provided by Jack Gillmer in the shortstop position and Luke Franzoni in centerfield.

Franzoni hit a solo home run to get the game started. Alejandro Rivera scored the winning run from second base on an infield hit.

Overall the A’s hit nine home runs including a back-back-back display by Rivera, Gillmer and Lehmann.
