The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is scheduled to host its Fourth Annual Women’s Leadership Summit, Playbook for Today’s Professional Women, on Wed. Nov. 5. from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The retreat celebrates professional women and provides them with an opportunity to build confidence and exercise their communication skills through workshops and networking games. Participants will also have a chance to engage in interactive panel discussions with leading business women.

This year’s keynote speaker is Selena Rezvani, author of “Pushback: How Smart Women Ask and Stand Up for What they Want”. She will be delivering a workshop on “The Art of the Ask: How to Negotiate with Confidence.”

The event is sponsored by the TCNJ School of Business and the NJ Small Business Development Center and co-sponsored by WithumSmith+Brown, Copper River Salon & Spa, TerraCycle, and Moxie Woman Magazine.

Copper River Salon and TerraCycle will introduce their collaborative Beauty Brigade, a free recycling program for hair, skin and cosmetic product packaging. Those who want to get involved should bring an empty make-up bag and product containers for upcycling. Proceeds will benefit Womanspace, a non-profit in Mercer County that provides services to victims of sexual and domestic violence.

All participants will receive an upcycled tote bag courtesy of Terracycle and a copy of Selena Rezvani’s latest book. Breakfast and lunch are included.

The registration fee is $100 and $80 for TCNJ alumnae. Alumnae should email Patty Karlowitsch at karlowit@tcnj.edu to access the discount code.
